Went back to the hospital yesterday, feels good to meet Syafiqah and Kevin again! (: Aww realised i miss them so much hehe. They're really cute. Raj has been discharged! So happy for him! Hoping he's doing well in school now:D
And even though Kevin can't really speak, he's so cute and handsome! Haha his iPad amuses me. It has like a chinese story telling app but it's so cheem even i cant read it! (the nurse too). Haha so i asked him "dyou understand what it's saying?" And he happily nods(: Hahaha so cute! Cause i know he doesn't HAHAHA. It's like reciting long phrases of poems that tell a story. OH he's grown bigger and more handsome really!\
Syafiqah as usual doesn't like to play games, but we made her play a game of UNO! I WONNN! HAHA Clearly Kevin was not happy cause last time i never ever win. And then after 1 game, Syafiqah took out her assessment books and asked me to teach her math. And she started going to school, and she's enjoying it! But GAH i really suck man. I can't teach. I tried introducing her to fractions, and i even drew pizzas to try to explain fractions but of course, it didn't work. Haha felt so bad not being able to do anything. And like we proceed to the next page full of additions and subtractions, and i felt like i was giving her the answer each time. Really need to improve in this aspect, especially when i'm gonna teach my sec 4 niece math in time to come before her Os. Hmm but so happy for Syafiqah! She completed more than 100 pages of math assessbook, and starting on english (400 pages of questions). Really admire her for being so determined to learn and gain each day. And yknow they have to wake up at 5 just to go to school at 7 because of all the preparations they have to settle before they leave the hospital. And here we are, some of us, complaining for having to wake up early in the morning for school. I guess sometimes, these people, though less fortunate than us in certain areas (physically/mentally), have a better mindset than us, and they are definitely much much much more stronger than us. It's been such a blessing for me to be able to help these kids, being befriending, or helping them with work, or just sharing life experiences (: It's a great way to kick start my Sunday!
There were 2 new friends in that ward, Brian and another boy whom i forgot his name. But i couldn't get to know them because they were still recovering and it's really painful to see how these kids suffer. Vomitting every so often, having to wear an oxygen mask to help in their breathing, and looking at them just pains my heart. But there's always hope in this world, and i believe the advances in the medical field will definitely be of great help to these people. I will pray for them for recovery and hopefully as time goes by, i will be able to befriend them soon!
Sometimes, we just have to take a step out,
to see the real world,
not to empathize,
but to understand.
